I'm in love with yellows and gray lately. This amber hue in the yellow family is a bit richer and perhaps more serious than a bright yellow. This plays nicely with the more fanciful circular markings of the painting. Looking very closely one can see tiny remnants of nearly fluorescent orange, peach and blue peeking out from behind the final toned down layers of the piece. This gives the viewer plenty of opportunity to stay with the piece, discovering all the many subtle nuances.
